Dehorning
Proceed as follows:
1. Secure the calf's head properly, if necessary with the help of another person.
2. Remove any hair in the area to be treated.
3. F irmly burn out the horn attachment point by holding the burning bulb against it in a circular motion for around 7 seconds.
4. Release the inner section of the burning ring by laying the burning tip on its edge.
5. Place the device in the holder and allow it to air-cool.
6. Apply an antiseptic powder to the horn attachment points in order to avoid suppurating or purulent wounds.
Maintenance
Check all components for signs of damage before every use. Damaged parts should only be repaired by a qualified professional or the
manufacturer. If carrying out any repairs, only use original spare parts.
Changing the burning tip
CAUTION!
Hot burning tip! Danger of fire and injury!
• Allow the burning tip to cool down before changing it.
Proceed as follows:
1. Loosen the clamping screw on the burning tip with an Allen wrench and remove the burning tip.
2. Insert the new burning tip until it stops and then tighten the clamping screw.
