BENDING INSTRUCTIONS
ROUND BAR
1. Choose appropriate round dies from the Universal Metal Bender case
and place on body assembly (No. 11) and handle assembly (No. 13)
pin. Ensure there is sufficient clearance between dies for bending.
2. Slide block (No. 4) on thread of lock rod assembly (No. 16) and clamp
material between block and round die of body assembly. The block
(No. 4) has a radius cut into face to help in holding round material.
3. Once material is clamped in place, pull handle and bend material
around die until the desired bend is obtained.
4. You can also create sharp angled bends from 1 to 90 degrees by
using the angled die (No. 2). Replace round die with angle die on
body assembly (No. 11) with sharp edge pointing out. You can also
bend angled bends with a 3/8 radius using the same die, just flip over,
clamp material and bend to desired angle.
FLAT BAR
Install block
(No.
5) with flat face on lock rod assembly (No. 16) and follow
the same instructions as round bar.
SQUARE BAR
Install block
(No.
5) with flat face on lock rod assembly (No. 16) and follow
the same instructions as round bar.
These are the basic bending instructions for this metal bender. Below are
some of the items that can be made with the Universal Metal Bender. The only
limitation for creating different bends is your imagination.

1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to control and will
prevent unnecessary problems.
2. Keep the tool handles clean, dry and free from oil/grease at all times.
3. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
4. Inspect the tool fittings and components periodically. Have damaged or worn components repaired or

5. Maintain the tool's label and nameplate. These carry important information. If unreadable or missing, contact
Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
CAUTION! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool.
LUBRICATION
Only use the lubricants supplied with the tool or specified by the manufacturer. Other lubricants may not be suitable
and may damage the tool or cause a malfunction during use.
When not in use for an extended period, apply a thin coat of lubricant to the steel parts to avoid rust. Remove the
lubricant before using the tool again.
DISPOSING OF TOOL
If your tool has become damaged beyond repair, do not throw it out. Bring it to the appropriate recycling facility.
