TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The water heater is intended for domestic purposes in households, and can
provide hot water from the water supply system only on the spot where it is
mounted. The unit electric heater / heaters operate and heat water only
while water flows through the device. This water heater does not store hot
water in a tank.
The heated water should be correspond to the normative documents for
domestic water. The water pressure in the water supply system should be
higher than 0.2 MPa and lower than 0.8 MPa (respectively 2 bar and 8 bar). If
the water supply pressure is lower than 0.2 MPa the water heater cannot
work or will not work properly.
The instantaneous water heaters series "Beta" are produced in three main
modifications according their intended use: for sink (Fig. 1); for shower-bath
(Fig. 2); combined – for sinks and shower (Fig. 3). Due to permanent
structure improvements, components and fittings may differ from those
shown in Fig. 1, 2 and 3.
INSTALLATION ON THE WALL OF THE PREMISE
The instantaneous water heater can be mounted only on the premise wall,
which is fire safe and in which temperature cannot fall below 0 °C. On the
unit back cover there are three openings through which must pass the
fixtures providing its firm and stable attachment to the wall. The openings
can be reached once the four screws on the left and right side of the
appliance are unscrewed and the unit front cover is carefully removed. A
template is supplied with the unit package in order to ease the determination
of the holes for the fixing dowels. While attaching the device to the wall must
be provided a minimum distance of 3 mm between the back cover (back of
the unit) and the wall.
WARNING! When installing the device front cover the knob for adjusting
the water flow rate and temperature may rotate inadvertently. We
recommend that you mark (highlight) the knob position before removing
the cover. Thus you will be safe of the likely breakage of parts due to
excessive torque.
WARNING! When dismantling the unit front cover pay attention not to
disassemble the electric wires. If, however, it happens, call a specialist
from the manufacturer authorized service companies to restore the
wiring in accordance with unit wiring diagram. Otherwise, you may
impair the appliance safety.
The location (height from the sink or from the floor) must comply with
available fittings (hoses, dispenser, and other connecting elements).
The water heaters Beta 4 (model 72485), Веtа 7 for sink (model 72486);
combined – for sinks and shower (model 72486С) are installed at suitable
distance above the sink.
The water heater for shower-bath Beta 7 (model 72486В) is installed so that
the top edge of its box must be higher than the water apertures of the
hanging on its stand hand shower (at least 2 m from the bathing floor). The
hand shower stand is attached in a place where the use of shower water can
not spray the tank. If the hand shower is attached above a tub when it is
taken free from its stand with fully relaxed hose, the water shower apertures
must not immerse in the tub filled with water.
Once the water heater is attached to the wall its front cover is mounted again
and secured with its screws.
WARNING! Failure to comply with these installation requirements can
degrade the appliance safety and damage it.
CONNECTION TO THE WATER SUPPLY
The water pressure in the water supply system should be higher than 2 bar
(0.2 MPa) and lower than 8 bar (0.8 MPa). If the water pressure is lower than
the minimum required, the appliance shall function with degraded capacity
or it may not operate at all.
The appliance inlet pipe is marked with blue insert and has thread of 1/2".
For easier connection and maintenance of the appliance we recommend to
use a flexible tube with metal braid and a suitable length. Use only new
flexible tubes compliant to water supply pressure - using old tubes is not
acceptable.
The unit outlet pipe is marked with red insert and it is COMPULSORY to
connect it only with the supplied in the manufacturer package winch,
adapter or hose.
When tightening the threaded connections use only enclosed gaskets
taking care not to apply excessive force in order to prevent damage to the
appliance.
WARNING! The use of fittings mounted to the outlet pipe (outlet hose,
dispenser, winch, etc.) that are not supplied by the manufacturer or are
not approved by him is strictly prohibited.
WARNING! The instantaneous water heaters of series Beta are
produced with an open outlet to the atmosphere and it is absolutely
PROHIBITED to connect their outlet pipe to the stop water tap. Failure to
comply with this requirement shall destroy the appliance!
The water heater tank is filled with water by turning the water flow and
temperature adjustment knob anti-clockwise to the end (from position STOP
in the blue arrow direction). Wait until from the winch or the hand shower
apertures starts to flow thick and strong stream of water. Turn the unit knob
to STOP while taking care not to apply excessive force. Because the
appliance is with an open outcome (the water tank is permanently
connected with the atmosphere through its outlet pipe), when the knob is
rotated to STOP it is possible that from the winch (or the shower apertures)
flows out some water until the tank outlet system is completely empty. This is
not a defect and the amount of water is minimal.
WARNING! Failure to fill the unit water tank shall cause its damage.
WARNING! Such consequences are not within the scope of
manufacturer or seller warranty liabilities and shall be at the expense of
the party, which has not observed the present manual instructions.
WATER HEATER CONNECTION TO THE POWER
SUPPLY NETWORK
The instantaneous water heaters of series Beta have an electrocution
degree of protection Class I.
The mains circuit (230V ~) to which the appliance is connected must be
three-wire: phase, neutral, and grounding conductors. All the extremities of
wires in the appliance circuit must be properly connected to the main power
switchboard and in the heater connection point to the power supply grid. The
installation grounding conductor must not be interrupted at no place on its
route from the appliance to the main power switchboard. The cross section
of the circuit conductors and the fuse size are discussed below.
The electric installation to which the heater will be connected must be built in
accordance with the requirements of the applicable statutes and local
regulations in force.
Beta 4 – connection is carried out by plugging the power cord into working
and properly connected contact with protective plates type Schuco. The
contact must be with protection level IРХ4. The wires from the contact
electrical circuit must be with a cross section of at least 2.5 mm and the fuse
in each phase circuit must be 16 A.
Beta 7 – the connection is carried out using a three-wire cable connected
directly in the unit column terminal. The phase conductor is connected with
the column marked L, the neutral – with N, and the grounding – with the
column marked with protective grounding sign. The wires of the power cord
must be with a cross section of at least 4 mm , and the fuse in the phase
circuit – 35 A.
WARNING! IT IS COMPULSORY that in the electric circuit feeding the
instantaneous water heaters Beta 7 is installed such a device which in
the conditions of over voltage category III provides full disconnection of
all poles. The conductors between the circuit and the device incoming
electrical terminals must not be interrupted by any circuit breaker or fuse.
If the water heater is a modification with shower the device must be fitted
