Layout and function
The instrument is used to produce dry ice tablets
weighing up to 50 g. The instrument must only be
connected to CO
gas canisters (W 21.80 x 1/14" right,

DIN 477 No. 6) with a riser pipe. Use only CO
canisters without a pressure reducer.
Point out any damage in the packaging to the freight
forwarder/supplier immediately.

1. Set the CO
gas canister up vertically.

2. Screw the instrument tightly onto the CO
canister with the hexagonal nut. The handle should
be pointing down.
3. Open the tightening strap  and remove the handle
 (arrows).
4. Open the valve of the CO
ensure the fill level of the canister and cleanliness
of the evaporator nozzle.
5. Place the handle on the instrument and close the
tightening strap.

1. Slowly open the valve of the CO
2. Check the fill level of the instrument.
3. As soon as the tightening strap  is stretched and
the handle  is pressed down, the maximum fill
level is reached (after about 60 s). Close the valve of
the CO
gas canister.

4. Hold the handle firmly and release the tightening
strap.
5. Shake the handle piece a little to loosen the dry ice
tablet and then remove it.
NOTE!
The CO
gas canister cannot be completely emp-

tied. It is designed for emptying down to a residual
amount of about 20%.
