Directions for use
1. Engage a qualified electrician to connect the
protective intermediate switch to the appliance or
extension cable in place of the normal plug, in
accordance with the applicable regulations.
Ensure without fail that the green/yellow lead is
connected to the screw marked with the
symbol.
2. Plug the protective intermediate switch directly into
a wall socket only. Before doing so, switch off the
connected protective intermediate switch.
3. Switch on the protective intermediate switch by
pressing the RESET button. The red LED must
light up.
4. Press the TEST button to check the function. The
red LED must not light up afterwards.
5. The protective intermediate switch must not be
used if the red LED light does not go out.
6. If the test proves successful, press the RESET
button again. The safety plug is now ready for use.
Note:
From time to time, carry out a function test, press
the Test button and perform the procedure descri-
bed above.
After a power cut, switch on the protective inter-
mediate switch again.
The protective intermediate switch is not suitable
for appliances which may give rise to conse-
quential damage if disconnected from the power
supply for a prolonged
earth
