Make sure that the ends of the wooden logs are cut
perpendicular. Make sure to cut off branches as near as
possible to the wooden log.
● Make sure to always have a good foothold when you use
the product.
● Do not stand on the product. There is a risk of serious
personal injury if the product tips over or if the user
touches sharp parts.
● Be careful around the moving parts of the product.
● Only add or remove wooden logs when the piston is in its
start position.
● Keep your hands away from the moving parts.
● Keep you hands away from open cracks in the tree. Open
cracks may close and cause personal injury.
● Do not use your hands to release a wooden log that is
stuck.
● Do not split wooden logs larger than as specified in the
technical data. Refer to "9 Technical data" on page 29.
● Make sure that the product is completely stopped before
you go away.
● Pull out the power plug when the product is not in use.
Always pull out the power plug before you do
adjustments, replace parts, clean the product or do
maintenance on the product.
● Keep the product clean. Make sure that you clearly read
signs and decals. Replace signs and decals that have
become illegible or lost.

2.3 Personal protective equipment

Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
● Always wear non-slip shoes.
● Wear approved safety glasses or a visor. The product can
eject objects that can cause permanent eye injuries.
● Wear gloves that are not electrically conductive.

2.4 Electrical safety

Warning! If you do not obey these instructions, there
is a risk of death or injury.
● Only connect the product to a mains supply with a
residual current device with a maximum tripping current
of 30mA.
● Before use, make sure that the mains outlet, power cord

and power plug are not damaged and that there are no
signs of fatigue. Do not use the product if the power cord
and/or power plug are damaged.
● Make sure that the power cord and power plug and are
grounded.
● Make sure that the extension cord is for outdoor use, not
longer than 10m, with a cross-sectional area of the wires
of at least 2.5 mm².
● Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the
rated voltage on the type plate and that the circuit is
fuse-protected.
● Do not touch grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators,
cookers and refrigerators.
● Do not open the push-button box on the motor. The
push-button box must only be opened by authorized
electricians.

Assembly

3.1 To assemble the product

Operation

4.1 To do before operation

Warning! Do not adjust the adjusting screw for max-
imum pressure. The maximum pressure is set at the factory.
The adjusting screw is sealed to make sure that the splitting
force does not exceed 7 tonnes. If this
adjustment is changed there is a risk of serious personal in-
jury and/or material damage. There is risk that the hydraulic
pump does not give the correct pressure.

Make sure that the temperature in the work area is
from 5 to 40°C.

Make sure that the work area is maximum 1000m
over the sea level and that the relative humidity is
less than 50% at 40°C.

Loosen the vent screw and let air flow in and out of
the oil tank.
Caution! Loosen the vent screw to prevent that
compressed air remains in the hydraulic system. Air in the
hydraulic system will destroy the seals and
permanently cause damage the product.

Make sure to tighten the vent screw before you move
the product.
