• Allow the appliance to cool down before storage.
• Do not allow the hot parts of the appliance to
touch the mains lead or other flammable material.
Do not use the appliance during rain or
under moist circumstances.
The metal mouth piece gets hot during use.
Be careful and do not touch the metal
mouthpiece while the appliance is in use.
Be aware that the mouth piece will remain
hot for some time even after the appliance
has been switched off.
This appliance operates at a temperature of
600°C without visible signs of this
temperature (there are no visible flames).
Be aware of the risk of fire or burns and
watch out for the hot air stream from the
mouth piece! This air stream can cause
burns or start fires if the appliance is not
handled properly.
Always keep a safe distance from
evergreens, pine needles and all conifers.
Pine needles pose a fire hazard as they are
highly flammable and easily ignited by the
hot air stream from the weed burner.
When operating the appliance
• Check if the power switch is in the off-position
marked '0' before connecting the appliance to
the mains voltage.
• Always keep the mains lead away from the
mouthpiece of the weed burner.
• Keep children and animals away from the ap-
pliance while it is in use, or while it has not yet
fully cooled down from previous use.
Immediately switch off the appliance when:
• The plug and/or cable are defective or damaged.
• The switch is defective.
• You notice a smell or see smoke caused by
scorched insulation from the the appliance.

insulated, you do not need to use any
earthed plugs.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order
to avoid a hazard.

such as patios, driveways and paths by means of
hot air.
Using the included secondary nozzle attachment
this appliance may also be used as a barbecue/
charcoal lighter.
