KNX Weather Station EduTrainer

10.1 Commissioning

To commission Weather Station WS/S 4.1, a PC with ETS2 version V1.3 or above and a connection to the bus
e.g. via an RS232 interface or via a USB interface are required. The device is ready for operation after the
mains voltage of 230 V AC and the bus voltage are connected.

10.2 Application software and additional information

To connect the Weather Station ABB WS/S4.1.1.2 to your ETS project, an additional software plug-in is
required. As well as lots of other helpful information, this is available on the ABB website.

10.3 Condition on delivery

The Weather Station is supplied with the physical address 15.15.255. The application program
Weather data/1 is already loaded. On commissioning only, the group addresses and parameters need to be
loaded. If necessary, the entire application program can be reloaded.

10.4 Download behavior

Due to the complexity of the device it may take longer for data transfer to finish with downloads depending
on the computer used.

10.5 Allocation of physical address

The physical address, group address and parameters are allocated and programmed in the ETS.
