Instructions for use
Before first use
- Ensure that you have removed all packaging from the product.
- Remove all accessories.
- Before using the product for the first time, clean the parts that
are in contact with food, as described in the Cleaning section.
- To remove any smells left over from the manufacturing
process, half-fill the pot with water, close the lid and heat it. Ten
minutes after releasing the pressure using the pressure valve,
open the lid and pour the water out.
Opening the lid
Hold the lid handle firmly, turn it clockwise until it loosens (Fig.
1), then gently pull upwards (Fig. 2).
OPEN
- Remove the pot (6) and add the ingredients.
Important: The level of water and ingredients must never
exceed 4/5 of the capacity of the pot (Fig. 3).
- If you are cooking foods that increase in volume when
cooked, do not fill the pot more than 3/5 full or less than 1/5
full (Fig. 4-5).
Closing the lid
- Before closing the lid, check that the rubber seal (17) is in the
correct position.
Important: If the rubber seal is damaged, do not use the
pressure cooker and contact the customer service department.
- Hold the lid by the handle and turn it anticlockwise until it is in
the closed position (Fig. 6).
Note: To check that the lid is properly closed (2), ensure that
the pressure regulator valve (3) is on your left (when you are
facing the control panel, 10).
Move the pressure regulator valve (3) to the Airtight position
and ensure that the floating valve has lowered.
When moving the pressure regulator valve (3) to the Airtight
position (maintain pressure) or Exhaust position (release
pressure), the marks on the pressure regulator valve (3) should
be lined up with the arrow on the handle (Fig. 7-8).
- Select the required cooking function and the corresponding
light will turn on to indicate that the chosen function is running.
- The display will flash for a few seconds to indicate that there
is still time to change the programme (by pressing the required
programme) or change the duration of the programme (by
pressing the Cooking standard button).
- The display will then stop flashing and the machine will beep
to indicate that the programme has started.
- You can press Warm/Cancel to interrupt the programme at
any time.

- While Starlyf® Pressure Cooker heats up and until it
reaches the correct pressure, the display will show the cooking
time alongside a flashing number on the left-hand side.
- When the number stops flashing, the cooker has reached the
correct pressure and the selected programme has started.
- From this moment on, the time will start to count down on
the display.
- When the programme ends, the Keep Warm function will
automatically activate. The corresponding indicator will light up.
Important:
- If the temperature of the cooker is too high, the Keep Warm
indicator will flash.
- Press the Warm/Cancel button again to cancel this function.
- Before opening the cooker, you must release the pressure by
opening the pressure regulator valve very carefully.
- When the valve has lowered, you may open the lid.
- When you are cooking liquids such as soup and stock, never
open the pressure regulator valve while the Keep Warm
function is running. Wait until the cooker has cooled down a
little.
- If you fail to do this, liquid may leak from the pressure regulator
valve and cause burns.
- Stop the pressure cooker before opening the lid by pressing
the Warm/Cancel button.
OPERATION
Preset options: Fish/Vegetables, Rice, Meat/Chicken, Baby
Cereals, Cake, Tendons/Beans, Soup, Congee.
The cooking times are preset for quick and easy cooking.
You may change cooking times according to your preferences.
Always check the expiry date of ingredients. Using out-of-date
ingredients is dangerous for your health and may affect the
quality of the finished dish.
Carefully measure the ingredients according to the recipe.
Based on the results, you can make minor changes to adapt
the recipe to your individual preferences. If you are cooking
a recipe for the first time, we recommend that you use the
measurements indicated in the recipe.
For best results, the ingredients should be at room temperature.
PRESET (TIMER)
- If you want to programme your Starlyf® Pressure Cooker
to start cooking later, you can do so with the timer button (Q).
- It can be programmed up to 24 hours in advance.
- Remove the pot and place it on a flat, stable surface.
- Prepare the food you wish to cook, place it in the pot and then
return the pot to the cooker.
- Close the lid (2) and turn it anticlockwise.
- Ensure that the pressure regulator valve (3) is in the Airtight
position (maintain pressure).
- Connect the device to the mains.
- The LED display will show "00:00".
- Press the timer button (Preset).
- The LED display will show "00:30", which indicates that the
food would start cooking in 30 minutes.
- Each time you press the timer button (Preset), the time
