If the series transformer is no longer required, dis-
connect it from the mains.
During a longer period of operation under nominal
load, the surface of the housing will heat up. There-
fore, make sure that there is adequate ventilation of
the device and, to avoid any damage, never operate
it when partly or completely covered.

Servicing and cleaning

The devices are maintenance-free apart from replacement of fuses
and occasional cleaning. Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic and dry
cloth to clean the device. Do not use any abrasive or chemical
agents or detergents containing solvents.
Replacing the fuse
If it is no longer possible to switch on the series transformer, the
mains fuse is probably defective.
Proceed as follows to replace the mains fuse:
• Remove all connection and mains cables from the device.
• Release the bayonet lock of the appropriate fuse bracket exerting
slight pressure in the direction of the arrow (a quarter, anticlock-
wise revolution).
• Replace the defective fuse with a new fine-wire fuse (5 x 20 mm)
of the same type and rated current. You can find the fuse data in
the technical data.
• Insert the fuse bracket and lock it in the reverse order.
