machine will switch off automatically. For optimal
taste, however, it is best to serve and drink your
coffee immediately after brewing.
11. Always turn off the coffee machine when not in
use and remove the plug from the socket.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Be sure to unplug this appliance before
cleaning and let the appliance cool down completely.
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse
the cord, plug or coffee maker in water or other liquid.

Clean all detachable parts after each use in hot
soapy water. Thoroughly rinse the filter holder
and the permanent filter with clean water

Wipe the external surfaces of product with a soft,
damp cloth to remove stains.
NOTE: Do not attempt to clean the inside of the water
tank, as this will leave a residue of lint and may clog
your coffee maker. Simply rinse with cold water
periodically.

Water droplets may build up in the area above
the filter holder and drip onto the base of
the appliance during brewing. To control the
dripping, wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth
after each use of the appliance.

Replace all parts and store for next use.
DESCALING
To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you
should periodically clean away the mineral deposits
left by the water. The frequency of this will be
dictated by the water quality in your area and the
frequency of use. We recommend removing mineral
deposits as follows:
1. Fill the tank with water and descaler to the
maximum level as indicated on the water gauge
(the ratio of water to descaler should be 4:1,
but for detail please refer to the instructions
provided with your descaler. The product to use
will be described as a "household descaler" or
"anti-limescale", available in the supermarket.
2. Insert the glass carafe onto the warming plate.
3. Make sure that there are no coffee grounds and
that the funnel is in place.
4. Switch on the appliance and allow it to "brew"
the de-scaling solution.
5. After "brewing" a one-cup solution, switch off the
appliance.
6. Leave the solution to stand for 15 minutes and
then repeat steps 4-6.
7. Switch on the appliance and run off the solution
until the water tank is completely empty.
8. Rinse by operating the appliance with just water
at least 3 times.

WASTE DISPOSAL
Electrical appliances, accessories and their
packaging must be reused as much as possible in
an environmentally sound manner. Do not dispose of

longer used must be collected and recycled in an
environmentally sound manner.

product be provided with specific warranty terms and
conditions, these shall receive priority over general
terms and conditions. The warranty shall not apply
