The following information on hazards and precautions includes the most probable situations that may arise during the use
of this machine. Consult all the documentation, packaging and product labels before using it.
If you encounter a situation not described in this manual use common sense to use the machine as safely as possible and,
if you see danger, do not use the machine.
USERS
• This machine has been designed to be manipulated by users of legal age who have read and understood these
instructions. Do not allow people under age and people who do not understand these instructions to use the
machine.
• Familiarise yourself with this machine before using it. Make sure you know where all the controls are, the security
devices and how they should be used.
• If you are an inexperienced user, it is highly recommend that you practice doing simple jobs and, if possible, in
the company of an experienced person.

PERSONAL SAFETY

• Use this machine, accessories, supplies, etc. in accordance with these instructions and as prescribed taking into
account the conditions and the work to be carried out.
• Never use the machine with defective protections or without safety devices.
• Do not use this machine if any of its components is damaged.
• Avoid inhaling exhaust fumes. This machine produces dangerous fumes such as carbon monoxide that can cause
dizziness, fainting or death.
• Do not use this machine when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
• The machine must be placed horizontally on a stable and level surface, and not on a steep slope.
• The welder generates a magnetic field that is detrimental to the operation of a pacemaker. Consult your doctor
before using or getting near this type of equipment.
• Always use safety equipment which is appropriate to the job you are carrying out.
• When working in a place near bystanders or traffic, make sure to use a screen to avoid dazzling people with the
glow of the arc.
• Do not use the welder near children or animals.
• Allow the welder to cool before handling it and never do so without gloves.
• Be careful when adjusting or servicing the welder. Wait for it to cool completely and disconnect it from the power
supply.
• Remember that the operator of the machine is responsible for the dangers and accidents caused to other people
or things. The manufacturer will not be liable for damages caused by improper or incorrect use of this machine.

CLOTHING AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

• Dress appropriately. Never wear greasy or oily clothes.
• The UV and IR radiation generated by the welder is highly damaging to the eyes and can cause burns. This effect
also occurs with the skin. Use:

Foot and leg protection.
• The use of neck protection may be necessary to avoid the effects of radiation.
• The use of safety equipment will reduce the risk of personal injury.
