Pouring In Coffee Powder
1. Open the lid (1).
2. Insert the fi lter insert (11) into the fi lter compartment (9).
3. Insert the permanent fi lter (12) or a fi lter paper (size 1x4) into the fi lter insert.
4. Add the quantity of coffee powder you want to the fi lter directly. We recommend one level
coffee measuring spoon for each 125 ml cup.
5. Close the lid. You must hear and feel it engage.
Keep-Warm Function
The device has a keep-warm function which can be activated. This can be found with the
brewing programme GLAS (glass) (position
hotplate (5) remains switched on for approx. 40 minutes after the brewing process.
To end the keep-warm function prematurely, move the operating switch to position O.
If you use the thermal jug rather than the glass jug, the hotplate should be switched off.
Drip Stop
The device has a drip stop (10) which prevents water from dripping out of the fi lter compart-
ment (9) when the jug (7) is removed from the device.
When the device is in operation, the lid (1) must be closed and a jug with the lid (8) placed on it
must be placed beneath the fi lter compartment. The lid of the jug pushes the drip stop upwards
and the coffee can fl ow from the permanent fi lter (12) through the lid into the jug.
During the brewing process, the jug must not be removed from the main unit (4) for longer
than 30 seconds as otherwise the permanent fi lter could overfl ow.
Preparation
PLEASE NOTE!

The device should only be used if it has been correctly assembled! Before each use, check
whether the fi lter insert and the permanent fi lter are inserted correctly and whether the
water tank is fi lled correctly!

Do not operate the device without water. If this does happen, the device switches off
automatically. In this case, allow the device to cool down before water is poured in and the
device is used again.
•
Never use the device without a suitable jug below the coffee outlet.
