6. Let the tool do the work. Grip tool as lightly as possible (while still keeping safe control of it).
7. To reduce vibrations, maintain tool as explained in this manual. If abnormal vibrations occur, stop using this
tool immediately.
8. This tool will not stop moving immediately. Do not lay the tool down or leave it unattended until it has come
to a complete stop. A part that is moving could make the tool jump or grab a surface and pull the tool out of
your control.
SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Keep hands and fingers away from grinding area. Any part of body coming in contact with moving parts
could cause injury.
2. To maintain complete control, firmly hold your rotary die grinder with both hands. Do not place hands over
air vents. Proper cooling of motor is necessary to ensure normal life of too.
3. Never point the cutter towards yourself. If it should slip, part of your body could come in contact with
moving parts, causing injury.
4. Never force the tool. Excessive pressure could bend or break the mandrel, resulting in damage to the tool,
your work piece of serious personal injury. If your grinder runs smoothly under no load, but does not run
smoothly under load, then excessive pressure is being used.
5. Use an appropriate dust respirator when working for an extended period of time. This will help prevent
breathing in the fine dust created while working.
UNPACKING
1. Carefully remove the parts and accessories from the box.
2. Make sure that all items listed in the parts lists are included.
3. Inspect the parts carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
4. Do not discard the packaging material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the tool.
WARNING! If any part is missing, do not operate the tool until the missing parts are replaced. Failure to do so
could result in serious personal injury.
INSTALLATION
1. Select the appropriate accessory for the task. Only use stone which are specifically designed for use with the
die grinder. Make sure they are capable of handling the tool's maximum speed of 21,000 RPM. Make sure
the accessory is tightly installed.
2. Attach the accessory to the grinder.
a. Push the spanner in the collet shaft.
b. Insert mandrel into collet chuck a minimum of 1/4 in. to prevent wheel or file from disengaging with grinder
while in use.
Note: Inserting mandrel a minimum of 1/4 in. into collet chuck minimizes vibration, delivers better results,
and reduces the risk of injury.
c. Tighten collet chuck securely with wrench provided.
Note: Always check cutter for tightness before each use. A loose cutter can be thrown from tool with
considerable force, causing injury.
3. Connect the tool to the air hose.
4. Place the stone over the work piece and turn on the grinder.
5. Use grinding wheels when working with hard materials and rotary files for milling soft materials such as
nonferrous metals (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.) Using grinding wheels when working with soft materials
will clog the wheel, preventing it from cutting as it was designed. Important: Never use wheels or files rated
below 21,000 RPM. Wheels or files rated for less than 21,000 RPM could disintegrate while in use, causing
serious injury.
