Operating the leak detector
The device switches off automatically if it is not used for 10 minutes.

Setting the sensitivity

NOTE
 The leak detector responds to all standard refrigerants. If you
use a different refrigerant to R134a or R1234yf, select the
R134a mode.
 Sensitivity level L and R134a mode are preset.
 If you use the leak detector in a heavily soiled area, press the
start button again after switching on. The device then switches
to a mode for heavily soiled areas. This is indicated by a low-
pitched beep which gets louder as soon as a leak is detected.
The device has four sensitivity levels with increasing sensitivity per
refrigerant (R1234yf or R134a):

➤ Press the start button (fig. 2 4, page 2) to select the sensitivity level or
to switch between the R1234yf and R134a modes.

Detecting leaks

NOTICE!
 In damp areas, use the sensor tip for damp environments
(fig. 1 6, page 2), to protect the sensor from moisture.
 Make sure the sensor is not damaged by dirt or moisture.
Clean the dirty area and remove the moisture.
