1. PREFACE
Congratulations on the purchase of an original NOVAFON sound wave device.
Our therapy devices have delivered excellent performance and reliability for
decades. Please read the following pages carefully to ensure safe, effective and
long-term use of your NOVAFON sound wave device. The description of the foot-
notes can be found on the last page of the booklet.
2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
NOVAFON sound wave devices are designed for local vibration therapy. Vari-
ous attachments are available to apply the mechanical vibrations to the tissue.
NOVAFON sound wave devices are primarily used in pain therapy and neurore-
habilitation. Owing to the safe and simple use of our devices, local vibration
therapy is ideal for a variety of applications. NOVAFON sound wave devices are
available with one frequency level (100 Hz) or with two levels (50 Hz / 100 Hz).
2.1. DEVICE TYPES
The individual device types differ in terms of the frequency settings, intensity,
alloy type of the device housing (chrome-plated, gold-plated or plastic) and
housing shape and with respect to the accessories they include (with or without
extension handle).
2.1.1. NOVAFON pro
The versatile device is suitable for use in speech therapy and occupational
therapy, as well as for home use. Thanks to the fold-out extension bar, hard-to-
reach areas such as the feet or back can be treated particularly well in self-use.
The device can be used with its gentle vibrations (either 50 or 100 Hz) even on
sensitive body parts easily.
2.1.2. NOVAFON power
Due to the more intense vibration strength, the NOVAFON power is particularly
suitable for the treatment of larger muscle groups, e.g. in orthopaedic disor-
ders. The generated vibrations (optionally 50 or 100 Hz) are stronger due to
the higher vibration amplitude and penetrate deeper into the tissue. The power
device is particularly suitable for sports and physiotherapy as well as medical
practice.
2.1.3. NOVAFON classic
The basic model enables uncomplicated operation and easy treatment of com-
mon indications. It has only one setting (100 Hz) and therefore facilitates easy
handling. The NOVAFON classic can be used both in the practice and at home.
