INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
The following regular checks must be performed:
Routine checks (weekly to monthly)
Check
- that all bolts, nuts and screws are tight
- that the ground and safety area correspond to the safety notes above
Effectiveness check (1 to 3 months)
Check
- the stability of the ground anchors and structure for unusual wear and replace any damaged parts
Periodic checks (once or twice a year)
Check
- for rust and erosion
- for unusual wear and replace any damaged parts
RECOMMENDATION
• Please pre-drill all screw connections to avoid damaging the wood.
The following symbols in the instructions will indicate when this is necessary:
WOOD AS A MATERIAL
• Wood is a natural product. Varied colouring, knurls and crack formation are normal and have no
influence on the structural engineering.
• Dry cracks may form as a result of extreme weather conditions, especially after long periods of hot
weather. These dry cracks are in no way a defect in quality but are a part of the natural appearance of
the wood. Depending on the weather, these cracks may close up again to a minimum.
Moreover, these dry cracks, which form longitudinally in the wood, have no effect on the strength and
resilience of the material.
WOOD PRESERVATIVES FOR UNTREATED PRODUCTS
• Untreated wood requires wood preservation measures.
For professional wood preservation treatment, contact a wood preservative expert.
Before assembly, we recommend that you treat all untreated wood components with blue stain and
then with a wood protection agent. Regular painting according to the specifications of the
manufacturer of the wood protection agent is necessary to protect the wood.
• The customer is responsible for carrying out wood preservation measures.
No guarantee can be given if the wood is not properly preserved.

GUARANTEE PROVISIONS FROM WEKA HOLZBAU GMBH
We provide you with a five-year functional warranty beginning on the date of delivery. The warranty is
in accordance with the conditions below, but it applies only to the wood parts of our products
(hereinafter referred to as the "weka product"). Any associated components or parts of the weka
product made from any materials other than wood are not covered by the warranty.
Within the warranty period, defective parts or missing parts of the goods or the goods themselves will
be replaced at our discretion.
The warranty covers only free replacement of the defective or broken piece of wood.
The warranty does not include consequential or additional costs, in particular no delivery, assembly or
rebuilding costs.
The warranty is void if:
- the assembly instructions were not properly followed,
- changes (additions or conversions) were made to the product compared to the assembly instructions,
- the stated load limits (e.g. snow load etc.) were exceeded,
- the weka product was not given a proper base (foundation / base plate, etc.), especially in the event
that construction rules are violated.
- the wood received insufficient or no care (maintenance: wood protection agent, wood stain etc.).
