3.5. SMOKE CONECTION AND CHIMNEY
The smoke evacuation system is installed by means of pressure effect on the combustion chamber. It is important that
this smoke evacuation system is correctly connected with specific materials and the following characteristics:
Pipes must be sealed hermetically. It is therefore necessary to use steel tubes equipped with silicone joints.
•
Must be approved for fire resistance, working under pressure as well as for temperatures between 200-250 °
•
(we advise the tube 12/10 since it is resistant to high temperatures)
Due to the connection, the stove can be connected to a new smoke evacuation pipe or to an already existing masonry
either metallic duct, this must be isolated. In the case the smoke outlet already exists it is necessary to check the
dimensions of the duct to be connected to the stove before being used.
Smoke evacuation can not be performed in closed or semi-closed areas.
We recommend cleaning periodically the smoke evacuation system, although it is manufactured according to the criteria
indicated by the installer and/or manufacturer and with isolated and fireproof materials and following existing regulations.
3.6 PIPE TO BE USED
The tubes used for smoke evacuation system should be rigid, made from steel, sanded inside and accompanied with Silicon
joints; they must have a minimum diameter of ø80 mm (for a 3 meters length pipe), or Ø100mm (for pipes of a length
exceeding 3 meters), see the attached table:
INSTALLATION TYPE
Length pipe 3 meters
Length pipe more than 3 meters
Installation placed to 1200m under sea level
Length must be calculated in all horizontal and vertical pipes, considering that 90º pipes are equal to 1 meter.
The stove permits installation of double wall pipe.
ATTENTION
Do not connect the evacuation pipe to:
• Smoke pipe used by other heat generators (chimneys, wood fire stoves, boilers...)
• To an air extraction system
