13. Troubleshooting

What to do if ...
1. Reagent is not aspirated:
- Clean intake valve; replace if necessary
(see chapter 12.1).
Cylinder does not fill:

- Clean discharge valves (see chapter 12.2).
3. Visible air bubbles are in aspirated liquid:
- Bleed the instrument properly
(see chapter. 8.6)
- Check intake valve, make sure properly
seated, replace if necessary
- Check intake tube; replace if necessary.
- Aspirate reagent more slowly.
- Check recirculation tube for tightness, and
replace if necessary
4. Piston movement is stiff:
- Clean dispenser thoroughly
(see chapter 10.3)

For the disposal of instruments, please observe the
relevant national disposal regulations.

15. Repair Service

Attention!
For safety reasons only cleaned and
decontaminated instruments can be
evacuated/repaired.
If a problem cannot be fixed by following the
troubleshooting guide, or by replacing spare parts,
then the instrument must be sent in for repair.
Clean the instrument thoroughly. If the instrument
has been contaminated with infectious, genetically
modified or biologically active substances, the
instrument must be autoclaved in addition (see
chapter12).
Complete the 'Declaration on Absence of Health
Hazards' (ask your supplier or manufacturer for
the form. The form can also be downloaded from
www.vitlab.com).
Send the completed form along with the
instrument to the manufacturer or to the
dealer with an exact description of the type of
malfunction and the media used.
Return shipment is carried out at the risk and
expense of the sender.

16. Warranty

We shall not be liable for the consequences of
improper handling, use, servicing, operation or
unauthorized repairs of the instrument or the
consequences of normal wear and tear especially
of wearing parts such as pistons, seals, valves
and the breakage of glass as well as the failure to
follow the instructions of the operating manual.
We are not liable for damage resulting from any
actions not described in the operating manual or if
non-original spare parts or components have been
used.
