6. Code of practice

Locate hole with cross mark (fig. 1).
Pilot holes (fig. 2)
for bolt ø 3/8" use a drill ø 0.41"
for bolt ø 0,44 use a drill ø 0.5"
for bolt ø 3/4" use a drill ø 0.8"
It ist also possible to punch the pilot hole for bolts ø 3/4" with a 0.80" punch.
Screw bolt completely into the hydraulic cylinder (fig. 3), tighten it and place the die onto the bolt. Place the bolt into the pre-drilled hole.
Tighten the punch of round punches (fig. 4). Place the punch of square and shaped punches onto the bolt and tighten the nut. Align and adjust
the punch to cross-marking.
Close the return screw of the pump. Operate pump (fig. 5) until the punch pierces the material (audible crack). Pump slowly, so that the punch can
take the right position. Hold hydraulic cylinder.
After the breaking sound, continue with 2-3 pumping strokes until the slug falls into the open area of the die.
Discharge the hydraulic pump by opening the return screw (fig. 6). Punch returns with spring pressure.
Disassemble the punch and die and remove slugs (fig. 7).
Attention: Threads and punches must be lubricated. Do not use force.
It ist not allowed to: Perforated two superimposed sheets (fig. 1). Nibble with punch tools (fig. 2).
