4 Installation
Precautions
WARNING:
• Observe accident prevention regulations in force.
• Use suitable equipment and protection.
• Always refer to the local and/or national regulations, legislation,
and codes in force regarding the selection of the installation site and power
connections.
Electrical Hazard:
• Make sure that all connections are performed by qualified installation
technicians and in compliance with the regulations in force.
• Before starting work on the unit, make sure that the unit and the control panel
are isolated from the power supply and cannot be energized.
4.1 Module installation

1. Power off the pump.
2. Open the terminal box of the pump head ❶ removing the cover ❷.
3. Plug the flat cable of the module on the connector of the terminal box.
4. Fix the module using the clips
5. When the module is connected, the secondary RS-485 channel become available. If
necessary connect the communication cable to terminals 18 – 19 – 20 of the pump.
6. Close the pump head terminal box.
7. Power on the pump again.

5 Wireless module use
When the wireless module is assembled into ecocirc XLplus, and correctly configured (see
the ecocircXL installation manual), it generates a wireless network accessible (by a
mobile, tablet or a PC) using data (S/N and PWD) printed on the label sticked on the side
of the circulator's drive.
In particular,
Network name: "xylemecoxl___S/N___" where S/N is a 8 character word
Password: "xylem___PWD___" where PWD is a 8 character word
To access then the circulator's web pages using a browser (on the external device
connected), use the web address "https://xylemecoxl" or type directly "192.168.1.10"
as reference.
