Checking the charge status of
the rechargeable battery
The state of charge display (10b) signalis-
es the state of charge of the battery (10).
Press the button (10c) on the
battery (10).
The state of charge of the battery
is displayed by illuminating the ap-
propriate LED lights of the state of
charge display (10b) (see "Instruc-
tion Manual rechargable battery/
Charger").

If a fully recharged battery lasts for
considerably shorter operating times,
the battery is used up and needs to
be replaced. Only use an OEM bat-
tery pack replacement available from
our Customer Service.

ronmental protection regulations and
information (see "Waste Disposal and
Environmental Protection").
Assembling instructions
Remove the rechargeable bat-
tery from the device before as-
sembly. Insert the rechargeable
battery only once the device is
completely assembled. There is
a risk of injury!
If the equipment pipes are not
plugged together and screwed
correctly then the equipment
cannot be switched on.

Use only original parts.
Assembling the Equipment
1. Interlock the end of the hex-
agonal aluminium pipe of the
telescopic arm (6) and the end
of the arm below the cutting
head (2) up to the stop. Whilst
interlocking the two, ensure that
the nose (6a) of the hexagonal
aluminium pipe fits into the nut
(2a) at the end of the arm (see
small image).
2. Fasten both parts using the
screw sleeve (5)
Operation
Do not use the equipment without
the hand guard. Wear suitable
clothing and work gloves when
working with the equipment.
Ensure that the equipment is
functional before each use. The
On/Off switch and the safety
switch must not be held closed.
They must switch off the motor
when on is released. Should a
switch be damaged, stop work-
ing with the equipment.
Note noise protection and local
specifications.
Attaching the Shoulder Strap
1. Fix the spring clips on the
shoulder strap (15) to the carry-
ing eyelet (9) on the telescopic
handle of the equipment.
2. Adjust the strap length such
that the carrying eyelet (9) is at
hip height.
