c) Switching on/off the wake-up and daily alarm function
• The thermo-/hygrometer display should indicate time of the day (but not the date or
wake-up time).
• Now briefly press the "UP" button (14) several times to switch the wake-up function
and/or the daily alarm on or off.
The wake-up function is on, when the symbol " " (2) appears in the top left
display area. The alarm/wake-up signal will be produced everyday at the set
time.
The daily alarm function is on, when the symbol " " (11) appears in the top
right display area. The alarm/wake-up signal will be produced only on the
single day (at the set time) that was set.
It is of course possible to enable both wake-up and daily alarm functions
simultaneously.
d) Enabling the snooze function and/or ending the alarm/wake-up signal
• The alarm/wake-up signal will be activated for 2 minutes, besides, the bell symbol
" " (2) or daily alarm symbol " " (11) will flash, depending on the signal type.
• To activate the snooze mode ("Snooze") just press the thermo-/hygrometer from
above. Thereby one (or both) of the buttons (6) placed on the housing bottom will be
pressed.
The alarm/wake-up signal will be suspended for approx. 8 minutes. During this time
"
" (9) flashes on the display (snooze modus is enabled). Afterwards, the alarm/
wake-up signal will restart.
This process may be repeated several times in a row.
• In order to end the alarm/wake-up signal (or the snooze mode), briefly press any
other button on the rear panel of the thermo-/hygrometer.
Switching between temperature units °C/°F
Briefly press the "DOWN" button (15) in order to change between the temperature
unit °C (degrees Celsius) and °F (degrees Fahrenheit). At that, the thermo-/hygrometer
should not be in the setting mode.
Maximum/minimum values
a) Displaying the values
Briefly press and release several times the "MAX/MIN" button (16), in order to toggle
between the following displays:
• Maximum values ("MAX" is indicated on the display)
• Minimum values ("MIN" is indicated on the display)
• Current measured values
If no button is pressed for several seconds, the display will revert to the cur-
rent measured values automatically.
b) Resetting the values
The maximum/minimum values are reset automatically every day at 0:00; manual re-
setting is impossible.
Displaying the comfort zone
The comfort zone indication is in the left bottom display area. It is calculated on the
basis of air humidity and temperature and the current indoor climate is visually dis-
played.
"
" = Humidity > 70%
"
" = Temperature +20...+25 °C and air humidity 40%....70%
"
" = Humidity <40%
Background light
Briefly press the thermo-/hygrometer. Thereby one (or both) of the buttons (6) placed
on the housing bottom will be pressed. The display illumination will be activated and
go out automatically in several seconds to save energy.
Replacing the batteries
Battery replacement is necessary when the display contrast sharply decreases or
"
" symbol (4) is displayed.
In that case, exchange the exhausted batteries for new ones; dispose of the old bat-
teries in an environmentally correct way (see chapter "Disposal").
After the batteries are replaced all settings are lost.
Maintenance and cleaning
Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you.
Maintenance or repair work may be performed only by qualified personnel or a spe-
cialised repair shop. There are no product components which have to be maintained
in the thermo-/hygrometer. For this reason, never open it (except for inserting/chang-
ing the batteries, as described in these operating instructions).
Use a clean, dry and soft cloth for cleaning. Do not press too hard on the display, this
may cause scratch marks or the display to malfunction; furthermore, the display might
break.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these could damage (discolour) the housing or even impair operation.
