EMERGENCY LIGHT FUNCTION
In case of power failure, the hand lamp switches on automatically, if it is connected to the mains and switched on. If voltage
is re-applied, the hand lamp switches off automatically. To use this function follow the steps below:
1. Connect the charging adaptor with the charging base and the 230 V power supply
2. Switch on the hand lamp in the desired lighting mode
3. Place the switched on hand lamp in the charging base – the lamp switches off

ELECTRONIC DEEP DISCHARGE PROTECTION
This portable lamp is equipped with an electronic deep discharge protection in order to protect the rechargeable battery.
This prolongs the lifetime of the rechargeable battery and protects the environment.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
This portable lamp is equipped with a high quality 1,600 mAh Li-ion battery. It can be charged by the 230 V power supply.
Alternatively, you can also charge the lamp with the 12 V DC connector in a vehicle. The matching charging adapter is also
included in the delivery.
1. Connect the power supply or the 12 V charging cable with the charging base.
2. Connect the power supply with a 230 V mains socket.
3. Slide the hand lamp into the charging base.
4. The charging process is completed when the "FULL" LED display is on.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE LI-ION BATTERY
• Charge the Li-Ion battery only with the supplied accessory (charging base and power supply)!
• Recharge the battery completely before the initial use and after a long time of storage!
• A Li-ion battery reaches its full capacity only after 4 – 5 charging/discharging cycles.
• Charge the battery always at room temperature (0 °C – 45 °C).
• Protect the battery against severe cold, heat and direct sunlight. Explosion hazard in extreme cases!
• Strictly protect the battery against damage or short-circuit. Fire and explosion hazard!
• A Li-ion battery has no memory effect. I.e., the battery must not be discharged completely before charging.
• For storing the hand lamp, the battery should be discharged to approx. 70 % of its total capacity. Then recharge the
battery every 6 months.
