2.3.2 Electrical connection

The ELFAMATIC G 3000 must be connected as shown in the
connection diagram on page 11.
It is especially important to note the following points:
1. If the outside temperature has a value which
corresponds to the E1 value of the central charging
controller, the ED signal of the respective charging
controller is 0 %, or 2 % if "EL" is set.
2. Z1/Z2 can be loaded up to max. 300 W.
3. The charging controller and the group control unit
ELFAMATIC G 3000 are also suitable for "single-wire
control".
The "clocked" outer conductor is connected to
terminal Z1/A1.
4. If terminals KU1-KU2 are activated by means of a time
switch, there is a reduction of 35 %.
5. Phase coincidence between L and LF and between the
outer conductors of the charging controller as well as a
specific phase sequence are not necessary.
6. Position of the DIP switches inside the top part of the
housing

If an electronic charging controller is activated, the input and output signal is 2 to 80 %.
Preliminary check
The following checks must be performed at the base before the mains voltage is switched on
(housing with electronic components should not be plugged in):
Insulation test on all cables (without consumers)
Resistance test (turn the rotary knob on the storage heater clockwise as far as it will go)
An A1 and A2 of the ELFAMATIC G 3000:
R= 176 Ω to 100 kΩ
Switch on the mains voltage and measure between L and N.
Measure the clock signal between Z1 and Z2.
Switch off the mains voltage.
Attach the top part of the housing to the base.
This completes the preliminary check.
