Functional thermometer/hygrometer
Item no. 1380329
Intended use
The product is used to measure and display the temperature and the air humidity. In the graphic
display, you can immediately see the current comfort zone (combination of temperature and
humidity) and the indoor climate at the location of operation. Furthermore, a digital clock is
integrated.
The product is only suitable for operation in dry, enclosed indoor rooms (not outside). Power is
supplied by two batteries of type AAA/Micro.

Battery/rechargeable battery instructions
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around in the open. There is a risk of
batteries being swallowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor imme-
diately.
Version 10/15
• Replace flat, non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries in good time since flat or old non-
°
rechargeable/rechargeable batteries can leak.
• Acid contact due to leaking or damaged non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries can burn
your skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggressi-
ve. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids could be considerably dama-
ged. Thus, store batteries/rechargeable batteries in a suitable location.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire.
There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge standard, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
• Never mix normal batteries with rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix batteries/rechargeable batteries with different charges (e.g. flat and half-dischar-
ged batteries).
• Always replace the complete set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay
attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
It is possible to operate the product with rechargeable batteries. However, the op-
erating time and the display contrast are greatly reduced due to the lower voltage
(battery = 1.5 V, rechargeable battery = 1.2 V).
We therefore recommend to only use high-quality alkaline batteries instead of re-
chargeable batteries.

Getting started
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the device by removing its cover (10).
• Insert two AAA/Micro batteries into the battery compartment paying attention to the correct
polarity (observe positive/+ and negative/-). All display segments appear briefly on the dis-
play; then the first measured value for the temperature and air humidity will be displayed.
The batteries must be replaced if the display contrast decreases strongly or the bat-
tery symbol appears to the right of the temperature displayed.
• Close the battery compartment again.
• Using a fold-out stand (9), you can place the product on a flat stable surface. Protect valuable
furniture surfaces by using a suitable mat to prevent scratches.
Alternatively, the product can be hung on a hook, nail or screw using an opening (6). In this
case, fold the fold-out stand back in first.
For the operation of the device choose a place that is not directly exposed to the sun
and not located close to a radiator. This will lead to a false display of temperature or
air humidity.
