Intended use
The product is designed as a data transfer cable to connect two devices (e.g. Windows PC,
Mac, or Android device) through which you can share keyboard and mouse, share clipboards,
and transfer files between two devices.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use
the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.
Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

Explanation of symbols

• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed
if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Always observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which
are connected to the product.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are not pinched, kinked
or damaged by sharp edges.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the
device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
• Attention, LED light:
- Do not look directly into the LED light!
- Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
Getting started
With this product, you can connect two devices with one of the following connections: Windows
to Windows, Windows to Mac, Windows to Android, or Mac to Mac.

a) Connecting two devices
• Connect the USB-A plug of the supplied link cable to the USB-A port on your first computer
(e.g. Windows PC, Mac, or Android tablet), and the USB-C
to the USB-C
port on another device (e.g. Windows PC, Mac, or Android tablet). When

connecting to a device, the corresponding LED (USB-A LED or USB-C
cable flashes blue.
• For the first time connecting the link cable to your two devices, the installation of the driver
"Mac KM Link" automatically initializes and follow on-screen instructions to complete
installation. For Windows, if the "AutoPlay" window pops up, select "Run SKLoader.exe" to
continue installation; if the "User Account Control" window pops up, select "Yes" to continue
installation
• When the driver is successfully installed on both devices (or the two devices are connected),
The "Mac KM Link" icon (
) is displayed in the bottom right corner of each computer
screen.
For Windows PC, if the "Mac KM Link" driver is not automatically installed on the
computer, go to "My Computer", then locate and double click the "MacKMLink" icon
to start and complete the installation.
For Mac, if the "Mac KM Link" driver is not automatically installed on the
computer, double click the "MacKMLink" CD-ROM icon on the desktop to open
the CD-ROM, then double click the "MacKMLink" icon to start and complete the
installation.
Operation
After your two devices are successfully connected, you can operate the following features.
a) Sharing keyboard and mouse
Only the Windows PC's keyboard and mouse can be shared to control the other connected
device. Thus, this feature is applicable to the following connections: Windows to Windows,
Windows to Mac, or Windows to Android. This feature is not applicable for Mac to Mac
connection.
• On your Windows PC, you can change settings for keyboard and mouse control switching.
To change the settings, right click the "Mac KM Link" icon (
the computer screen, and select the "Preferences" option from the pop-up menu to access
the preferences setup. The section of the keyboard and mouse settings is illustrated below.
• The following settings can be made on the Windows PC only.
- "Turn Off": Disable the keyboard and mouse control switching.
- "Use Mouse Middle Button": Click the middle button of the mouse to switch keyboard and
mouse control from one computer to another.
- "Use Mouse Move Off The Edge of Screen": Move the mouse cursor to the left/right/
up/down edge of the computer screen to switch keyboard and mouse control from one
computer to another.
- "Click Specified Screen Hot Area": This setting is only available only when connecting to
a touch screen device (e.g. Android tablet). Set a "hot area" on the computer screen, then
click the "hot area" to switch keyboard and mouse control from one computer to another. To
specify a "hot area", click "View and Specify Hot Area", then drag the pop-up orange frame
to a position on the screen as a specified "hot area".
- "Hotkey Toggle": Press both [Alt+S] buttons on the keyboard to switch keyboard and
mouse control from one computer to another.
• After the settings mentioned above are configured, you can now move the Windows PC's
mouse cursor across to the other computer screen through one of the methods mentioned
above (e.g. by moving the mouse cursor to the edge of the left/right/up/down side of the
computer screen), then use the Windows PC's keyboard to input or edit text on the other
computer.
