4. PURGING PROCEDURES, LEA TEST, AND TEST RUN 4-1. PURGING PROCEDURES AND LEA TEST 1) Remove service port cap of stop valve on the side of the outdoor unit gas pipe. Compound pressure Valve stem (The stop valves are fully closed and covered in caps in their initial state.) gauge (for R410A) 2) Connect gauge manifold valve and vacuum pump to service port of stop valve –14.7 psi Service port cap Pressure gauge Close (–0.101MPa) (Torque 10 to 13 ft-lb, on the gas pipe side of the outdoor unit. (for R410A) 3) Run the vacuum pump. (Vacuumize for more than 15 minutes.) 13.7 to 17.7 N•m, 140 to 180 kgf•cm) Gauge mani- 4) Check the vacuum ith gauge manifold valve, then close gauge manifold Open fold valve (for valve, and stop the vacuum pump.
4-4. LO ERING THE OPERATION NOISE OF THE OUTDOOR UNIT • Description of the function: With this function, the operating noise of the outdoor unit can be lo ered by reducing the operation load, for example, during nighttime in COOL mode. Ho ever, please note that the cooling and heating capacity may lo er if this function is activated. * Changing the setting is required to activate this function. Please explain about this function to your customers and ask them hether they ant to use it. Ho to lo er the operating noise 1) Be sure to turn off the main po er for the air conditioner before making the setting. 2) Set the “5” of SW1 on the outdoor controller board to ON to enable this function. 1 2 3 4 5 6 3) Turn on the main po er for the air conditioner. Low er the operating noise 4-5. TEST RUN • Test runs of the indoor units should be performed individually. See the installation manual coming ith the indoor unit, and make sure all the units operate properly.
