This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualified service agency in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. If the
information in these instructions is not followed exactly, a fire, explosion or production of carbon
monoxide may result causing property damage, personal injury or loss of life. The qualified service
agency is responsible for the proper installation of this kit. The installation is not proper and complete
until the operation of the converted appliance is checked as specified in the owner instructions
supplied with the kit.
WARNING: Failure to position the parts in accordance with these diagrams or failure to use only parts
specifically approved with this appliance may result in property damage or personal injury.
CAUTION: Before proceeding with conversion shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power.
1. Lift safety barrier up and out of appliance.
2. Open the glass viewing door and remove the media.
3. Remove the screws securing the log support to the
base. (FIG. 1)
4. Remove the burner and log support.
5. Using a deep socket, remove the main burner orifice.
Use a 7/8" wrench to ensure that the manifold tubing
does not twist or kink. Replace with the orifice supplied.
6. Before replacing the burner assembly, adjust the air
shutter. (See "VENTURI ADJUSTMENT" chart)
7. Replace and re-secure the burner assembly ensuring that
the venturi fits over the burner orifice.
8. To convert the main valve, follow the instructions that are
supplied with the regulator assembly kit. IMPORTANT:
Use the screws provided with regulator.
9. The conversion data label must be filled out and attached
adjacent to the valve.
10. To convert the pilot, remove the clip from the side of the
pilot with pliers. Pull the pilot hood off. Using a 5/32" hex
head Allen key, remove the pilot orifice. Replace the pilot
orifice with the one supplied. Align the pilot hood back to
its original position and place the clip back on the pilot.

11. Turn on the gas supply and check for gas leaks by
brushing soap and water solution. Do not use open
flame.
12. Replace the media. Then light the pilot and main burner to ensure that the gas lines have been purged.
13. Re-secure the door. Turn on the electrical supply to the appliance.
14. Reinstall safety barrier.
Purge all gas lines with the glass door open.
Assure that a continuous flow is at the burner before closing the door.
