Water softener MATIC with AUTOTROL chronometric head 255/440i
PROBLEMS
Lack of softened water between two
regenerations
Failure in brine suction
An excessive quantity of brine is fed
into the tub
Salt consumption not corresponding to
what is expected
Intermittent or irregular brine suction
CAUSES
Incorrect regeneration
Polluted resins
Wrong set-up of the quantity of salt
Mixing screw too tightly fastened
External by-pass open
Obstructed output
Insufficient input pressure
Output pipe blocked
Obstructed injector
Damaged injector
Valve 2 blocked in the open position
Valve line not sealed
Valve 1 remains open
The input speed has not been checked
Valve 2 does not remain closed during
suction
Air suction in the connection pipe to
the tub
The brine suction pipe does not draw
from the bottom of the softener
Obstructed or damaged injector
Wrong adjustment of brine adjuster
Insufficient input pressure
Damaged injector
SOLUTIONS
Repeat the regeneration cycle
checking that the correct amount of
salt is provided
Wash or replace resins
Check and set up again
Unfasten and check hardness
Close by-pass
Clean output
Set at least 1.4 bar
Remove obstruction
Clean injector
Replace
Remove the cause of the block
Replace the whole valve line
Manually activate the valve to remove
the cause of the block
Remove and clean the adjuster
Manually activate the valve to remove
the cause of the block
Check the tightness of brine connector
and pipes
Reposition the lower end of the blue
pipe with the filter at the bottom of the
softener
Clean or replace injector
Set up brine again
Set at least 1.4 bar
Replace injector
