Before Initial Use
1. Remove the article from the packaging and check the items
supplied for completeness and any transport damage. If you
fi nd any damage to the article, do not use the article (!), but
contact our customer service department.
2. Insert the batteries (see below).
3. Attach the alarm unit in a suitable place.
Inserting / Changing Batteries
Alarm Unit
1. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards and remove
it.
2. Insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries of the AAA type into the battery com-
partment. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/–).
3. Reinsert the battery compartment cover and slide it shut.
Remote Control
1. Remove the three screws on the back of the battery compart-
ment with a standard cross-head screwdriver.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 1 x 12 V battery of the 27A type into the battery compart-
ment. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/–).
4. Reattach the battery compartment cover and tighten the
screws.
Assembly
It is essential to follow the safety instructions for assembly (see the
"Important Instructions" section).
1. Attach the Velcro fastener to the alarm unit.
2. Secure the alarm unit to the door or window frame using the
Velcro fastener.

Use
The article has a magnetic sensor. This responds when the door
or window is opened and thus the magnetic connection is broken.
Carry out tests regularly in order to ensure that the article
is working correctly! If the warning signal can only be heard
faintly, change the batteries.
1. Close the door or window so that the alarm unit and the mag-
netic strip are in contact with one another.
2. Press the Alarm button (2) on the remote control. A warning
signal sounds three times and the control lamp on the alarm
unit lights up. The signal sounds again after around 10 sec-
onds and the alarm is activated. The control lamp lights up at
regular intervals.

The arrows on the alarm unit and the

Attach the magnetic strip to the
door frame or in the window lintel or
somewhere similar using the dou-
ble-sided adhesive tape.
Customer Service / Importer:
If somebody breaks the magnetic connection by opening the
door or window, an alarm sounds for around 20 seconds. The
alarm then continues to be activated.
3. Press the Deactivate button (7) on the remote control to stop
the warning signal or to deactivate the alarm. A warning signal
sounds and the control lamp lights up.
Further Functions
•
Press the Emergency alarm button (3) on the remote con-
trol to trigger the alarm in all alarm units. An alarm sounds for
around 20 seconds, then the alarm continues to be activated.

Close the door or window so that the alarm unit and the mag-
netic strip are in contact with one another. Press the Doorbell
button (4) on the remote control. A bell sound is heard. If some-
body now breaks the magnetic connection by opening the door
or window, a bell sound is heard. The bell sound is deactivated
by pressing the Deactivate button (7).

Several alarm units are activated or deactivated together via
one remote control. However, if the alarm or doorbell is trig-
gered on one alarm unit, the other alarm units remain silent.

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-
aging in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to
a recycling centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly man-
ner. It should not be disposed of in the normal household
waste. Dispose of the article at a recycling centre for used
electrical and electronic devices. More information is avail-
able from your local authorities.
The batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the
article and disposed of separately from the article. To pro-
tect the environment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable
batteries may not be disposed of with normal household
waste, but must be taken to suitable collection points. Also
note the relevant statutory regulations governing the dis-
posal of batteries.
