Before using the article for the fi rst time, please read the instruc-
tions through carefully and keep them for future reference. If the
article is given to someone else, it should always be accompanied
by these instructions.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
The article is an alarm that can be fi tted to doors and win-
dows. If somebody opens the door or window, an alarm signal
sounds.
The article also has a doorbell function that indicates that
somebody has gone through the door.
The article is for personal use only and is not intended for com-
mercial applications.
The article should only be used as described in these instruc-
tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects
caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised at-
tempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from
children and animals.
This is not a toy! Do not leave children and animals unsuper-
vised with the article.
Danger of hearing damage! Do not operate the article close to
your hearing.
Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Keep batteries and the
article out of the reach of children and animals. If a battery is
swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.
If the battery has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mu-
cous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. If
you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant
fresh water immediately and contact a doctor.
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in
the article and on the batteries are clean, and clean them if
necessary.
Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data.
Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of
different types or brands, or batteries with different capacities.
When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).
Take the batteries out of the article when they are dead or if
you will not be using the article for a prolonged period. This will
prevent any damage that might occur if a battery leaks.
Remove a dead battery from the article immediately. Clean the
contacts before a new battery is inserted.

The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other
means, must not be dismantled, thrown into a fi re, immersed in
liquids or short-circuited.
If the article is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Re-
pairs may only be carried out by specialists. In the event of any
damage, please contact our customer service department.
Use the fastening material supplied to hang up the article. If
you are unsure whether the fastening material supplied is suit-
able, seek advice from a specialist stockist and exchange it if
necessary.
Hang the article in a secure and solid place.
Keep the article away from sources of heat such as ovens or
naked fl ames.
Do not expose the article to extreme temperatures, wide tem-
perature variations, moisture, wet conditions or direct sunlight.
Use the article only in closed indoor rooms.
Do not drop the article or subject it to heavy impacts.
Clean the article with a slightly damp, soft cloth and, if neces-
sary, a little mild cleaning agent. Do not use any corrosive or
abrasive cleaning agents to clean the article. These can dam-
age the surface. No liquid must be allowed to enter the article
during cleaning.
Store the article in a dry, clean place that is protected from
direct sunlight and is not accessible to children and animals.

2 x 1.5 V batteries of the AAA type are also required in each
case.

To link the remote control to the alarm units, proceed as follows:
1. Press the doorbell button (4) on the remote control and keep
it held down.
2. Insert the batteries into the alarm unit at the same time. A beep
sounds. Two more beeps will be heard within 5 seconds.
The alarm unit and remote control are now linked.
– Several alarm units can be linked to one remote control.
– All linked alarm units are then activated or deactivated
together.
