Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove the shelf and the floor covering.
Remove the covering in the back of the boot.
Turn the back seats to the front.
Release the side panels.
Release the rear lights.

Drill a 13 mm large hole in the back of the boot, next to the existing grommet.
Carefully remove all metal particles and treat the edges with anti-rust paint.
Put the grommet in the hole.
3.
Route the wiring harness in the boot.
Lead the 8-pole end through the grommet to the socket.
Pull the rubber coverplate over the wiring harness.
Remove the contact holder from the socket and fit the wires as indicated:

Mount the socket to the towbar.

The other wires are connected with connectors to the original wires at the rear lights (see figure 1).
(Check the functions with an electrician's srew driver).

Black/brown Rear light right
Blue/red Brake lights
Black/green Indicator right
Black/yellow Indicator left
Purple/black Rear light left
Fit both white wires at the left-hand side in the back of the boot to vehicle earth.
