Instructions
Thoroughly familiarize yourself with this Installation Instructions prior to installation. Observe all safety warnings.
Exercise caution during installation or repair.
It is your responsibility to install the product safely and to educate the customer on its safe use.
WARNING
Disconnect power supply before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Electrically ground air handler.
Connect ground wire to ground terminal marked
"GRD".
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
WARNING
Keep flammable materials and vapors, such as
gasoline, away from this unit.
Place this unit so that the heating elements are at least
18" (46cm) above the floor for a garage installation.
Failure to do so can result in death, explosion, or fire.
WARNING
To prevent personal injury or death due to electrical
shock, disconnect the electrical power before
electrically connecting the unit.
WARNING
To avoid the risk of fire or equipment damage, use
copper conductors.
WARNING
All wiring must comply with applicable local and national
codes. Type and location of fused disconnect switch(es)
must comply with all applicable codes and provide
overcurrent protection as shown on the nameplate.

Electric Heater Kit for
Air Handlers
CAUTION
To avoid the risk of personal injury, wiring to the unit
must be properly polarized and grounded.
CAUTION
Ensure that all power is disconnected prior to
installation of this heater kit. There may be more than
one disconnect servicing the unit.
Strain relief and conductor protection must be
provided at the electrical supply wire inlet into cabinet.
Use copper conductors only.
Installation must conform with national and local
electric codes.
Ensure the area is properly ventilated if this appliance
is installed in an enclosed space such as a garage or
utility room with other appliances.
To prevent damage, carefully insert the electrical
heating assembly through the rectangular opening in
the front of the discharge opening so the heat element
support rod is seated into the hole on the back side of
the discharge opening.
After installing the electric heater, a 1" clearance must
be maintained on all sides of the supply air duct and/
or plenum for a minimum of thirty six inches from the
air handler discharge opening.
