About ERP ?
ErP stands for Energy-Related Products.
These European regulations apply to products which consume energy in the context of CE markings.
This reference is based on two directives:
•
The Eco-design directive governing the design of energy-using products
•
The Labelling directive governing the display of information for consumers
Impacts on the ventilation system :
To receive the ErP stamp, residential ventilation products must satisfy several criteria:
•
Comply with EC regulations
•
Satisfy a maximum SEC (<0), which depends on:
o Motor efficiency (W/(m3/hr))
o The ability of the system to adapt to conditions in the home (number and type of
collectors)
o The type of motor (multi-speed motor – at least 3 settings - or variable-speed motor)
o The efficiency of the heat exchanger with double-flow systems
•
Use of a multi-speed motor (at least 3 settings) or a variable-speed motor
Why can single-flow ventilation systems such as the Ventilairsec VMI® not achieve an A score?
•
According to the SEC formula, a complement is required (such as the heat exchanger) in
order to reduce the consumption value of the motor, and therefore achieve an A label.
