Before attempting to use your microscope, please read

The microscope provides magnification from 40x to 600x. It
is ideally suited for examining specimen slides of yeasts and
molds, cultures, plant and animal parts, fibers, bacteria, etc.

techniques, is "The World of the Microscope" by Usborne.
