Used to switch the meter between autorange mode and manual range mode as well
as to select desired manual range.
Used to switch the meter between frequency and duty cycle
Used to switch the meter between (or among):
- AC and DC current measurements.
- AC and DC voltage measurements.
- Resistance, continuity, diode and capacitance test functions.
- Fahrenheit and celsius measurements.
- + trigger and - trigger (for pulse width measurement function only).
- 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine measurements ( for RPM measurement function only)
- 4, 5, 6 and 8-cyl. engine measurements (for dwell angle measurement function
only).
Used to select the desired function or range as well as to turn on or off the meter. To
preserve battery life, set this switch to OFF position when the meter is not in use.
Plug-in connector for the red test lead for current (600 mA -20 A) measurements.
Plug-in connector for the black test lead for all measurements except temperature, RPM
and capacitance measurements.
- For temperature measurements, this COM terminal is a plug-in connector for the
negative plug of thermo couple.
- For RPM measurements, this COM terminal is a plug-in connector for negative
(black) output plug of the inductive pick up.
- For capacitance measurements, this COM terminal is a plug-in connector for the
Adapter.
Plug-in connector for the red test lead for all measurements except temperature, RPM
and capacitance measurements and the current measurements.
For temperature measurements, this VΩmAHz terminal is a plug-in connector for

the positive plug of thermo couple.
For RPM measurements, this VΩmAHz terminal is a plug-in connector for positive
-
(red) output plug of the inductive pick up.
For capacitance measurements, this VΩmAHz terminal is a plug-in connector for
-
the Adapter.
- Press this REL button briefly to enter or exit Relative mode.
- Press and hold down this button for about 2 sec. to enter the USB communication
mode (in this mode, you can transfer readings of the meter to a computer via the
USB interface and the communication application), USB will appears on the screen
as an indicator. To exit the USB communication mode, press and hold down this
button for about 2 sec. (Note: When the USB communication mode is active, auto
power off is disabled automatically)
Press this HOLD button briefly to enter or exit Data Hold mode.
Press and hold down this button for about 2 sec. to turn ON or OFF the backlight
