[BH09-26, BH11-28, BH14-32]
Function switches 7 and 10 are designed for the
switching the following operation modes of the
tool (see fig. 16):
Drilling (set the function switches 7 and 10 in the
positions indicated in figure 16.1) - non-impact drilling
in wood, synthetics, metal
Impact drilling (set the function switches 7 and 10 in
the positions indicated in figure 16.2) - impact drilling
in masonry, concrete, natural stone
Chiselling (set the function switches 7 and 10 in the
positions indicated in figure 16.3) - chiselling ducts in
masonry, concrete, stone, removing ceramic tiles
[BH-1200, BH12-40 V]
Function switch 16 is designed for the switching
the following operation modes of the tool (see
fig. 17-18):
Impact drilling (set the function switch 16 in the
position indicated in figure 17.1 and 18.1) - impact
drilling in masonry, concrete, natural stone
Chiselling (set the function switch 16 in the position
indicated in figure 17.2 and 18.2) - chiselling ducts in
masonry, concrete, stone, removing ceramic tiles
In order to make switching between
the operation modes smoother, rotate
slightly chuck 1 (SDS PLUS) or chuck 15
(SDS MAX) by hand.
Speed selector thumbwheel
[BH12-40 V, H-1200 VS]
Use speed selector thumbwheel 17 to set required
revolutions and impact frequency
[H11-15 V]
Use speed selector thumbwheel 17 to set required
impact frequency and power of impact
The required speed is dependent on the material and
can be determined with practical trials
When operating your power tool at a low speed for a
long time, it has to be cooled down for 3 minutes To
do it, set a maximum speed and leave your power tool
to run idle
Vibration protection system
[BH-1200, BH12-40 V, BH14-32, H-1200 VS]
The vibration protection system is design to reduce
vibration impact (during operation) on the operator
Safety clutch
[BH09-26, BH11-28, BH-1200, BH12-40 V, BH14-32]
The safety clutch protects the power tool against
overload and damage in case of accessory sticking
during drilling
Light indicator
[BH12-40 V]
Light indicator 18 is on when the power tool is
connected to the mains and is ready to be switched on
on the power tool operation
Wear thick soft gloves when working to
reduce vibration impact on your body.
Always use additional handle 4 when
working, it will ensure a better control of
your electric tool and reduce recoil.
Drilling
[BH09-26, BH11-28, BH14-32]
Caution: drill wood and metals in the
impactless drilling operation mode only.
• Grease the drill bit regularly when drilling holes in
metals (except drilling non-ferrous metals and their
alloys)
• When drilling hard metals, apply more force to the
power tool and lower the rotation speed
• When drilling large diameter holes in metal, first
drill a hole with a smaller diameter and ream it till the
necessary diameter (see. fig. 19).
• In order to avoid splitting of the surface at an exit
point of a drill bit when drilling holes in wood, follow the
instructions shown in figure 19.
• When drilling holes in glazed ceramic tiles, in
order to improve the drill centering accuracy and to
save the glaze from damage, apply adhesive tape
to the presumed hole center and drill after that (see
fig. 20). Caution: drill tiles in the impactless drilling
operation mode only.
Impact drilling
[BH09-26, BH11-28, BH-1200, BH12-40 V, BH14-32]
• At impact drilling the result does not depend on the
pressing force you apply to your electric tool, which is
due to the impact mechanism design This is why do
not exert excessive pressure on your electric tool, as it
may result in borer seizing and motor overload
• In order to decrease dust production when drilling
holes in walls and ceilings, take actions indicated in
fig. 21. Mount dust collector 14 as shown in figure 21
for drilling holes in the ceilings
Chiselling
[H-1200 VS, H15-11 V, DBR14-30]
• When working, make sure to properly adjust the
working accessory to the material being processed:
not too close to the edge as the power tool will need
to be displaced often, but not too far as the accessory
can get stuck in the material being processed
• Press the power tool while holding it tightly with
both hands Do not use excessive force: the energy of
the percussion mechanism is enough for the effective
performance
