Installation and regulation
of power tool elements
Before execution of any procedures, centre the re-
verse switch 10.
Do not draw up the fastening elements
too tight to avoid damaging the thread.
Additional handle (see fig. 1)
Always use the additional handle 4 when operating
Additional handle 4 may be positioned as deemed
comfortable by the user
• Loose additional handle 4 as shown in fig. 1.1.
• Place additional handle 4 in desired position (see
fig. 1.2).
• Tighten additional handle 4 as shown in fig. 1.3.
Depth stop (see fig. 2-3)
Use depth stop 7 to set a required drilling depth (see
fig. 2-3).
DWT
• Press and hold retainer 5 (see fig. 3.1).
• Move depth stop 7 to set a required drilling depth
(see fig. 3.2).
• Release retainer 5 (see fig. 3.3).
Mounting / replacement of accessories (see fig. 4)
Borers SDS PLUS are able, due to the de-
signed features of the chuck SDS PLUS,
to travel freely to some extent This causes
radial run-out at idle running that will be
automatically centred during the drilling It doesn't
make any impact on the precision of bore drilling
• Before installing the borer (chisel), clean it and lubri-
cate the shank with a thin layer of oil
• When mounting borer (chisel):
• insert (slightly twisting) the borer (chisel) into the
chuck 1 (SDS PLUS) against stop (see fig. 4.1);
• test the borer (chisel) fixing by trying to remove it
from chuck 1 (SDS PLUS)
• When removing borer (chisel):
• move fixing bush 3 back and hold it in this position
(see fig. 4.2);
• extract the borer (chisel) from the chuck 1
(SDS PLUS);
• release fixing bush 3
Gloves are to be used when removing the
borer (chisel) from chuck 1 (SDS PLUS),
as the borer (chisel) may be dangerously
hot after long using.
Replacing the dust protection casing (see fig. 5)
Dust protection casing 2 prevents the
dust from entering the SDS PLUS chuck.
Never use your power tool with a dam-
aged dust protection casing 2 - if dam-
aged, it must be immediately replaced. You can ei-
ther do it on your own, or contact the DWT service
center.
• Move fixing bush 3 back and hold it in that position
(see fig. 5.1).
• Pull dust protection casing 2, and remove it (see
fig. 5.2).
• Install a new dust protection casing 2 (see fig. 5.3).
• Release fixing bush 3 (see fig. 5.4).
Adapter for chuck SDS PLUS
• SDS PLUS adapter 17 and screw 18 enable using
gear rim chuck 16
• Never use SDS PLUS adapter 17 in the impact drill-
ing or chiselling operation modes
• Drills that don't belong to the SDS PLUS system are
not allowed for the impact drilling
Mounting / dismounting of the gear rim chuck (see
fig. 6-7)
• Screw the gear rim chuck 16 onto the SDS PLUS
adapter 17 and lock it in with the screw 18 (see
fig. 6).
• Install the SDS PLUS adapter 17 into the
chuck 1 (SDS PLUS), repeating the same steps as
when mounting the borer (chisel) see fig. 7.
