• Always remove the plug from the power socket:
o
before you move the appliance;
o
before you store the appliance;
o
before you fit or remove accessories;
o
before you clean or maintain the appliance;
o
after you have used the appliance.
• Only allow repairs to be carried out by a qualified service centre. Qualified service centre: after-sales
department of the manufacturer or store, which is recognised and authorised to carry out such repairs so
potential hazards can be prevented. If problems are encountered with the appliance, please return it to this
department.
Electricity and heat
• Prior to use, check that the mains voltage is the same as the mains voltage stated on the appliance.
• Check the cable regularly for damage.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable shows signs of damage. Have a damaged cable replaced by a qualified
service centre.
• Do not use any appliance with a damaged cable or plug or after the appliance has indicated faults, fallen or
has been damaged in any way. Deliver the appliance to the manufacturer or the closest qualified service centre
for inspection, repair or electrical or mechanical modifications.
• When removing the plug from the socket, pull on the plug itself, not the cable.
• Prevent the cable from touching a hot surface or steam.
• Always remove the plug from the socket before moving the appliance.
• Do not operate the appliance using an external time switch or by a separate remote control system.
• Use a 10 amp cable if an extension cable is required. Cables with a lower amp rating may burn out. When
plugging in the cable, ensure that it cannot be accidentally pulled out or tripped over.
• Prevent overloading by not connecting too many appliances in a group.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, to avoid the risk of electric shocks. Do not touch the
appliance if it has fallen into water. Remove the plug from the socket, switch the appliance off and do not use it
again.
• Do not use the appliance in the immediate vicinity of heat sources such as a cooker or oven.
Use
• This appliance is intended for domestic or similar use.
• The use of accessories not recommended by the appliance manufacturer could lead to injury.
• Only use the appliance indoors, in dry areas and not in the vicinity of water.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. This can cause a fatal electric shock!
• Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface where it cannot fall off.
• Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface, not too close to hot objects or naked flames (such as hobs).
• Remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use or is being cleaned.
• Do not allow the power cable to hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and naked flames.
• Never use the appliance if the power cable show signs of damage, if the appliance has fallen to the ground or
any other signs of damage. In such cases, take the appliance to an expert for inspection and have it repaired if
necessary.
• Never allow children to use domestic appliances without supervision. Children are unable to judge the
hazards associated with incorrectly using electric appliances.
• Children in the vicinity of the appliance must always be supervised by an adult.
• Never leave the appliance unattended whilst it is in use.
• Be careful with the Dough hook, Mixing Beaters and Egg Whisk and keep fingers, long hair and loose clothing
clear of all moving parts whilst the appliance is in operation.
• Do not switch on the appliance until accessories and the bowl have been fitted properly.
• Do not switch on the appliance until the mixer head is locked in position.
• Do not switch on the appliance when the mixer head is raised.
• Always switch off the appliance before changing accessories.
• Never insert objects in the mixer bowl whilst the appliance is operational.
• Check the cable regularly for damage. Do not use components if they are damaged because product
fragments could contaminate the food.
• Keep the appliance clean because it comes into direct contact with food.
