Putting the device into operation

Before putting the device into operation, make sure the built-in
rechargeable battery is fully charged. See Chapter 5 for details.
Keep the on/off button pressed for about 2 s.
The device switches on. All the segments available
are indicated briefly on the display.

appear on the display, announcing the start of the
heat-up cycle which takes about 5
seconds.
2.3
The initialisation process after start-up is always identical. The
analogue bar display moves along the scale to the right as a sign of
progress. After the maximum value has been reached, the device
switches to measuring mode.
2.3.1
In the LED chain – arranged between the sensor head and the
switching buttons – the first diode indicates "operation". If gas is
detected, this is indicated on the display and further diodes switch
on in relation to the concentration. The acoustic signal (which can be
switched off) makes the increase in concentration audible too.
When the device is switched on, all the diodes initially light up

After conclusion of the heat-up phase of around 45 seconds, only

the green diode is lit, indicating that the device is ready for use.

As gas concentration is detected and increases, the indication is in
