POWER SUPPLY
• This material is designed to be powered by a 3-phase 190 V, 200 V, 208 V, 220 V, 230 V, 240 V power supply only (50-60 Hz) with four wires with a
neutral one connected to the earth and fitted with a 60 A, 80 A or 100 A D-rated circuit breaker (or aM type fuse).
The permanent current absorbed (l1p or ILp) displayed in the section «technical specifications» of this manual relates to use at maximum power.
Check that the power supply and its protection (fuse and/or circuit breaker) are compatible with the current needed by the machine. In some
countries, it may be necessary to change the plug to allow the use at maximum settings.
• Power supply recommendations :
In order to limit the voltage drop in the power supply line and to avoid any risk of disconnection of the protection, it is imperative to connect the
equipment to a «dedicated» socket. This plug must be connected to the electrical panel and only power this equipment. The protection rating must
be determined taking into account the following constraints:
In order to exploit the full power of your equipment, especially when used at the maximum duty cycle, it is recommended to provide a
100 A
special protected power supply line with a 100 A delayed curve D circuit breaker.
However, it is possible to use the equipment on a protected line with a 80 A circuit-breaker delayed curve D. When welding on thicker
80 A
parts (> 4 mm), the user must wait for a minimum of 30 seconds between each spot weld.
However, it is possible to use the equipment on a protected line with a 60 A circuit-breaker delayed curve D. When welding on thicker
60 A
parts (> 4 mm), the user must wait for a minimum of 60 seconds between each spot weld.
If the user does not wait long enough, the power supply protection might be triggered after a few spots. The cross-section of the
conductors of the supply line must be determined according to the following rule:
Protection rating
60 A
80 A
100 A
When using an extension cord, it must have a length and cross-section appropriate to the voltage of the equipment. Use an extension cord that
complies with national regulations.
