2. Safety instructions
Please read the operating instructions and all directions
before you operate your Twistfire.
Improper use may lead to damage. Do not leave the
Twistfire to anyone who has not previously familiarised
themselves with the operating instructions.
2.1. Information about safe first-time use
It is imperative to avoid open flames when opening
and filling the tank and do not smoke. There is a risk of
explosion.
Do not ignite the Twistfire in a warm condition.
Only liquid ethanol may be used to operate the firepla-
ce. We recommend WMF Premium Bio-Ethanol, item
60 8585 9990.
Under no circumstances are you to use lamp oil, gasoli-
ne or other combustible substances!
Only fill the ethanol into the stainless steel tank tested
according to DIN 4734-1 and never exceed the
identification mark for the fill
However, should ethanol make its way out of the tank, it
must be completely removed and the stainless steel
base body must be ventilated without panes for at least
30 minutes prior to the next use!
Twistfire may only be operated with a closed tank cap
and with the fibre metal plates inserted inside! Ensure
that all fibre metal plates are inserted into the tank cap.

Never run the Twistfire unattended. Keep children and
pets away from your Twistfire when it is in use.
Always ensure sufficient ventilation when your Twistfire
is in use.
Due to the risk of excessive CO
additional fire may be allowed in the same closed room
along with the Twistfire.
During operation, you may never open the tank cap and
refill the fuel.
Do not bend over the Twistfire during operation and
never cover the fireplace. Place it on a level, horizontal
level!

Keep a fire extinguisher and/or fire blanket ready
whenever the Twistfire is in use. Despite the exceptio-
nally high safety standard, you must never forego this
precautionary measure.
During operation, should the Twistfire display an
unnatural, uncontrollable flame behaviour, extingu-
ish the fire immediately with a fire blanket or a fire
extinguisher.
