5. Release the blade fixing screw with a hexagonal
socket spanner 4 mm and remove (fig. 14).
Fig. 14
6. Release the upper blade suspension. Remove the
blade by turning downwards and pulling away (fig.
15).
Fig. 15
7. Fitting a new blade:
Push the blade holder forwards. Run the blade in
at an angle from below and turn upwards (fig. 15)
Important!
When inserting the blade in the blade
holder, you must feel it notch home.
Sustained operation of the machine
causes the bearing of this plastic
blade holder to wear out (broken) so
that the blade can then be inserted
very easily without feeling resistance.
If that is the case, the blade holder
must
be
otherwise
damaged.
Important!
Whenever you change the blade
check the condition of the blade
holder.
Frequent checks of the blade holder
help to save substantial spare part
costs.
8. Thread the blade suspension onto the cylindrical
pin on the guard support and secure with the
blade
fixing
screw
Important: Check the alignment of the blade
suspension. It should be aligned as parallel as
possible with the guard support (fig. 16)
Fig. 16
9. Replace the blade guard on the guard support and
insert the blade (fig. 12).
10. Place the locking pins in position, i.e. push them
through the blade guard into the protective
backing (Fig. 17). The locking pins must notch
home in the central position.
