General notes
These operating instructions are part of the scope of
supply. They must be kept within easy reach and
remain with the machine if it is resold.
We reserve the right to make changes to the versions
presented in these operating instructions because of
technical developments.
Reprints, translations and duplication in any form
whatsoever, even by way of extracts, are permitted
only with the written consent of the publisher.
Responsibility of the operator
The operator must comply with the applicable national
accident prevention specifications and technical rules.
The operator may only allow the machine to be used
by trained and reliable personnel.
The operator must make sure that the users have
read and understood the instructions before using the
machine.
The operator must make sure that no unauthorised
person can have access to the machine.
The internal company labour protection specifications
must be respected.
Use for the intended purpose
The dehider knife is a hand-held pneumatic machine
fitted with a dehiding blade which moves with a
reciprocating motion.
The dehider knife may only be operated from a
suitable compressed air supply. The tool is used to
dehide cattle and calves, for vertical and horizontal
slaughter.
Any use of the dehider knife outside the above
application areas and any structural modification
is prohibited without the consent of Biax-
Maschinen-GmbH. In the event of any breach of
this instruction, all liability for consequential
damage and all claims under guarantee will lapse.

Wear ear protectors!
The tools are sharp. Be careful not to
injure yourself. To prevent injuries to
the hands, wear cut-proof gloves
when working with the dehider knife!
Health
Caution!
Vibrations may be transmitted to the
whole body and especially to the
arms and hands. Very severe and
persistent vibrations can damage the
nervous and vascular system!
Make sure to wear tightly fitting garments while
working. Remove jewellery before starting work. If you
have long hair, you must wear a hair net!
Avoid contact with power sources. The compressed
air knife is not insulated against contact with parts
which carry electricity!
