OPERATING THE TOOL
NAIL LOADING
DISCONNECT TOOL FROM THE AIR SUPPLY.
1
1. Insert a strip of fasteners into the rear of the
magazine (keep points of nails pointed down).
2
2. Slide fasteners forward all the way into the tool nose.
3. Pull pusher toward the rear of the magazine beyond
3
the last nail, then release to engage pusher to strip
of nails.
4. Attach the air supply. The tool is now ready to
4
operate.
REMOVING NAILS
DISCONNECT TOOL FROM THE AIR SUPPLY.
1. Push nail stopper (1) upward to release the nails.
2. Depress the pusher tab to disengage the pusher
from the nails. Slide the pusher forward past the
nails to the nose.
3. Depress the magazine retainer (2) and slide nails
past the magazine retainer and out of the magazine.
PLACEMENT OF NAILS
Metal connector nails are not designed to penetrate
metal. When installing metal connectors, always place
the exposed point of the metal connector nail into the
metal connector's pre-formed hole, and position the nail
so it is perpendicular to the hole before attempting to
drive a fastener.
NOTE:
When loading fasteners into the tool, do not depress
trigger or safety mechanism. Keep yourself, as well as
others, away from the nose to avoid possible injury.
OPERATION IN COLD WEATHER
When operating tools at temperatures near and below
freezing, the moisture in the air line may freeze and
prevent tool operation:
Reduce the air pressure to 80psi (5.5kgs.) or less.
Remove all fasteners from magazine.
Connect air and free fire (blank fire) the tool. Slow
speed operation to warm up the moving part.
OPERATION IN HOT WEATHER
Keep tool out of direct sunlight as excessive heat can
deteriorate bumpers, o-rings and other rubber parts
resulting in increased maintenance.
