THE PROCEDURE
•
Only adjust one section of the cutter at a time.
•
Before adjusting the second section, be sure that you have completed the 3 steps
listed below for the first section, in the exact order given.
•
The cutter will only be ready for use after all 3 steps have been completed.
Adjusting the upper section of the cutter
Step 1:
Unlock
Release the 2
UPR adjusting screws only (Fig. 1), by turning anti-clockwise

) without ever exceeding 90°, ¼ turn.
Step 2:
Adjust
The cutter can only be adjusted after it has been unlocked.
How to close the upper section of the cutter:
turn adjusting screw
UPR clockwise (toward the CLOSED icon)

by 360°=1 mm until you reach the reference notch marked on the cutter (Fig. 1).
How to open the upper section of the cutter:

UPR anti-clockwise (toward the OPEN icon)

by 360°=1 mm until you reach the reference notch marked on the cutter (Fig. 1).
Never turn past the reference notch.
Step 3:
Locking
After completing step 2, lock the 2 adjusting screws
clockwise (
). The clamping strength of the screws must be 3.5 N m
Never exceed the clamping strength indicated in the manual.
When clamping the screws, Wirutex recommends using the torque screwdriver
that was provided with the cutter (Fig. 2).

Check the cutting parts, locking elements, screws and tool body regularly for defects.
•
Any damaged or worn elements (e.g. cutting parts, screws or locking elements)
must be replaced immediately with original spare parts. Be very careful when packing
and unpacking the tool.
Danger of injury due to sharp cutting edges!
•
Suitable packaging must always be used for transportation!
•
The cutting edges of the tool must never come into contact with each other
or with the parts of the machine!
