GENERAL INFORMATION
SMART Pit Stop System is an adjustable cutter with braze-welded polycrystalline
diamond cutting edges. The cutter consists of two sections, each of which can be
adjusted independently. SMART Pit Stop System is manufactured in compliance
with European standard EN 847-1.
Read these instructions carefully before handling, using or adjusting the tool.

USE
•
Never exceed the max. rpm marked on the tool.
•
Always check the direction of rotation specified by the manufacturer.
•
The SMART Pit Stop System cutter can only be used on machines
with mechanical feed (MEC).
3.
MOUNTING THE TOOL ON THE MACHINE
•
Before using the tool, check that the screws and locking elements
have been set properly.
•
The tool must be mounted, locked and used on the machine in compliance
with the instructions provided by the machine manufacturer.
•
All locking surfaces must be perfectly clean and free from any dust, grease,
oil or water.
•
Starting the machine during a tool change is forbidden.
•
The cutting edges must never come into contact with the machine's
locking elements or with parts of the machine.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADJUSTING THE CUTTER

The SMART Pit Stop System cutter is provided ready to work and set
to the maximum possible opening. When the finishing quality for the panel
is no longer acceptable, either one or both parts of the cutter can be adjusted
by following the instructions provided in section 5.
WARNING:
The SMART Pit Stop System cutter must be adjusted by following the instructions
in this section exactly. Failure to follow the instructions will result in an unacceptable
lapse in safety during machining and will increase the risk of injury and compromise
the finishing quality.
