SWITCH, PUT ALL THE PANELS
REMOVED BACK IN PLACE.
8.2 TROUBLESHOOTING
If the machine does not work, check the
following:
- the main cutoff switch on the wall is on and
the machine is getting current;
- the door is closed;
- the start key has been pressed.
- the hot water, cold water and steam taps are
open (the steam tap only for steam-heated
machines).
If the fault is not due to any of the above
causes, call the authorised after-sales service
or your dealer (see last page of this booklet).
8.3 SAFETY DEVICES
- Door microswitch disconnects the auxiliary
circuit from the power mains and so stops
the appliance.
- Motor overload cutout that cuts off power
to the motor winding.
- Air-break system in the soap dispenser,
which avoids pollution of the water mains in
case of a depression.
- Normally open drain valve, which enables
safe door manual opening.
- Tilt switch that avoids mechanical damage
in the event of irregular loads.
8.4 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE (to be
carried out by the technical personnel)
All maintenance operations must be carried
out by the authorised after-sales service or
by qualified personnel.
BEFORE ANY MAINTENANCE OR
CLEANING OPERATION, CHECK
THAT THE WALL CUTOFF SWITCH
IS OFF AND THE HOT WATER, COLD
WATER AND STEAM TAPS ARE
CLOSED (THE LATTER APPLIES TO
STEAM-HEATED MACHINES ONLY).
Be very careful during maintenance. NEVER
skip or ignore safety devices. Use only
original spare parts. If doubts should arise,
contact your sales person immediately,
explaining what the fault is and indicating
some information on the machine: model
and serial number (details reported on the
rating plate appearing on the rear of the
machine).
MONTHLY
INSPECTION
SERVICING
-
Clean the strains located on the outer
part of the solenoid valves.
-
Make certain that the steam solenoid
valve strain is clean (this applies to
steam-heated machines only).
-
Clean the soap dispenser from any soap
remains.
-
Clean the door gasket and the tub inlet
with a cloth.
-
Clean the inverter fan from any dust or
lint build-up. The inverter fan is located
in the middle of the top rear machine
part, behind a chromium-plated grille.
-
Check the grease cup level in models
33-50-63.
YEARLY
INSPECTION
SERVICING
-
Make certain that the floor fastening
nuts are securely closed.
-
Check the wear of the belts and replace
them if necessary. If more than one of
them is worn out, replace the entire set
of belts.
-
Ensure that the safety devices are
working properly (e.g. door and tilt
microswitch).
-
Make certain that the power connecting
screws are tight on the contactors and
the terminal board.
-
Disassemble the drain valve and clean it
inside from lint.
-
Check that heaters are in perfect
condition and clean them from scale.
-
Remove the inverter cover (the one on
which the inverter fan is secured) and
clean the inverter housing using a dry
cloth, compressed air or a household
vacuum-cleaner.
BEFORE TURNING THE MACHINE
ON BY THE CUTOFF SWITCH ON
THE WALL, PUT ALL THE PANELS
REMOVED BACK IN PLACE.
AUTOMATIC MAINTENANCE
REQUEST
The machine keeps count of the number of
cycles it executes. After 1000 programs the
machine will flash the writing "10 00 C" for
10 seconds as the START key is pressed, to
remind the user that scheduled maintenance
is needed. Then it will carry out the selected
cycle normally.
To remove this message and start the cycle
count over again, push the "DOWN" key for
5 seconds.
When this occurs, have yearly maintenance
performed as prescribed.
8.5 IDENTIFYING AND ORDERING
SPARE PARTS
To identify the codes of spare parts refer to
the exploded drawings and relevant list. Once
you have identified your codes, send a
AND
standard written order to the manufacturer,
mentioning clearly the model, serial number,
feed voltage and frequency of your appliance
and, of course, including the code and
description of the spare part you need.
9. SUGGESTIONS FOR MACHINE
LAY UP, DISMANTLING AND
DISPOSAL
If the washing machine is no longer to be
used, it is advisable to put it out of service
and suitably dispose of the resulting
materials, considering the indications
provided in chapter 3. For the sake of the
AND
23
environment, please sort the materials in
accordance with the waste disposal
provisions in force in your country, so that
they can be properly disposed of or recycled.
All of the parts composing the machine can
be treated as solid urban waste, except for
the metal parts, which nevertheless are not
classed among special waste in most
European countries.
INFORMATION TO USERS
Pursuant to article 13 of law decree 25 July
2005, nr. 151 relating to "Implementation
of Directives 2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC and
2003/108/EC concerning the reduction in
the use of hazardous substances in electric
and electronic apparatus, as well as waste
disposal"
The deleted dustbin symbol on the appliance
indicates the product must be disposed of
separate from other wastes once it reaches
the end of its life cycle.
Once the appliance has reached the end of its
life cycle, the user must therefore take it to a
suitable pre-sorted waste centre for electronic
and electro-technical appliances, or return it
to the dealer on purchasing a new similar
appliance, on a one for one basis.
Adequate pre-sorted waste collection before
subsequently sending the appliance for
recycling, treatment and environmentally
compatible disposal helps avoid possible
negative effects on the environment and
health and favours the recycling of the
materials making up the appliance.
Unlawful disposal of the product by the user
is punishable by the administrative sanctions
indicated in law decree nr. 22/1997 (article
50 and following articles of law decree nr.
22/1997).
