2OOOFC/M AND CF LENSES
CF lenses can be used with the 2000FC and 2000FC/M. The cameras can
then be operated either with the between-the-lens leaf shutter or with the
camera body's focal plane shutter.
LEAF SHUTTER ZENSE^S ON THE 2000FC/M (Fis 8)
CF lenses (with built-in leafshutters) operate on the 2000FC and 2000FC/M
in the same way as on the 500C/M. The 2000FC/M's shutter speed ring is set
at C and locked (see Fig. 8). With this arrangement, the exposure and flash
synchronization are carried out by the leafshutter in the lens, not by the foial
plane shutter in the camera body.
Note! The O mirror program mode on the 2000FC and 2000FC/M cannot be
used with CF lenses and leaf shutters.
CF LENSES WITH FOCAL PLANE SHUTTER OPERATION (Fis.9)
Depress the green detent button ( I 2) and turn the shutter speed ring ( I 0) until
the F setting (l l) is opposite the central index (2). The leafshutter in the CF
lens is then inactivated so the lens functions in the same way as F lenses (with
a built-in shutter).
Shutter speeds are then set on the camera body's shutter speed ring (X). And
exposures are made by the focal plane shutter at all speeds (l-l1500 s and
B).
FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY
With CF lenses on the 2000FC/M
When a CF lens is attached to the 2000FC/M, the photographer must elect to
work with the between-the-lens shutter's flash synchronization terminal or
the camera body's synchronization terminal, depending on the shutter
used.
